You can make a donation to the library by:

1.) Cash or check 

You can address checks to the Argyle Free Library, and drop them off during regular library hours or by mailing them to us at:

2.) Online Donations

You can make a donation quickly and easily online, using your credit or debit card, or through your PayPal account. Please click on the button below to make a donation today!

3.) Amazon Wishlist 

Every year in December, we put out an Amazon Wishlist with items we have not been able to purchase for the library due to restraints in our budget. This list is active year round if you want to make a donation now. Click Here to see our wish list.

4.) Add us to your will

5.) Donate books 

We do appreciate book donations, but the majority of book donations we get we typically don’t add to our shelves. This is because we already have the book, or the book is too old to be of interest to most patrons. We will always put new and popular books on our shelves, ie. books that are currently on the New York Times Bestseller list or other best seller lists.

Our guidelines for book donations are as follows:

Gifts/donations:
Gifts or donations of any material will be evaluated for inclusion in the collection. If we deem that the material is right for the collection, we will add it to our shelves. If the material is not right for us, we will either sell it at our annual book sale, offer it to the public in our free book section, or direct the person to other organizations that may accept the item.

General guidelines on materials the library WILL accept:

Classics and children’s books in good condition
Fiction that has been popular in the last 5 years
Non-fiction on topics such as knitting, cooking, gardening that are in good condition.
Non-fiction on topics that date quickly (health, law, technology, science) that are less than 5 years old
Paperbacks in fair condition with genres of western, romance, mystery, and science fiction
DVDs that came out in the last 5 years


Books and materials the library is unable to accept:
We do not accept books or DVDs that are in poor condition, outdated, or older than 5 years
